IQRA- My Search for His signs
“IQra – my search for His Signs” is a book that begins with the author’s personal journey towards the Book of God – the Quran.
From scientific authentication to literary excellence, details of human history to accounts of the future of mankind, from our own life to aspects of our societies and communities, from natural and unnatural signs in the heavens and earth to timeless divine guidance – Quran repeatedly frames and re-frames the human thinking. It employs a variety of arguments that appeal to our logic, intellect, sense of wonder and aesthetic sensibilities. It opens up our perspective and urges us to observe, explore and reflect, to engage our minds and our hearts, and to view both this Book and the things in and around us not merely as text or objects, but as symbols, as pointers to the divine. The way that the Quran does this can be described as nothing but a miracle.
This book, IQRA - my search for His signs, is a compilation of these miracles – of the things that many people from different walks of life have found miraculous about the Quran. In IQra, the author shares the things about the Quran which inspired an unusual and unprecedented kind of awe and admiration in her. The name, IQRA, is inspired by the first verses of the Quran that were revealed and means “Read” or "Recite". This book has been compiled as a service to the Quran. The author hopes that it serves as a reminder for herself and her readers to read and study the Quran and be amazed by it!
